Heed My Warnings Or Ignore At Your Peril. Why The Working Class Will Vote Trump In 2020

When I visit Atlantic City, I can’t help seeing what happened to the Democratic Party similar to what politicians have done in Atlantic City. Atlantic City was once a thriving tourist attraction with beautiful vacation homes, white sandy beaches, and boardwalk with lots of shops and cafes. The city of 39,000 residents is the home of the Miss America Pageant, Salt Water Taffy and the board game Monopoly. 

I’m not a sociologist, but, the comparisons of Democrats demise are similar to how corrupt politicians ruined Atlantic City.  Both enterprises were run into the ground by incompetence, unspeakable arrogance, an uncanny ability to be in denial, even when the evidence and facts smacked them over the head, and refusal to change course even when it’s suicidal and destructive not to do so. 

Where Las Vegas was built on a desert, Atlantic City had the advantage of being built on the Jersey shore located between New York City and Philadelphia. While being an ideal location for visitors and tourists, politicians managed to turn this seaside town once the traveling destination for those that lived on the East Coast into an eyesore where you see rampant unemployment, drug addiction, and crime.

The Democrats had similar advantages, being a majority party from 1933 to 1970. However, starting in the late sixties, the Democrats began alienating labor and white men for liberation theology and identity politics. While it's evident that identity politics big government, and high taxes have been a failing strategy for Democrats, they refuse to change course or even modify the mistakes they made. Instead, they double down with more radical politicians that want more government and Anti-capitalist, and Anti-American rhetoric. During the sixties, it was the Black Panthers and SDS (Students For Democratic Society) who were romanticized but driven all the working voters from the Democrats. While today Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib may drive the remaining Christian, Jewish and white voters from the Democratic Party, which will make the Republican Party official the home of labor, Civil Rights and social change. 

There were many reasons Atlantic City failed, but the primary reason was they forgot who came to their casinos. The casino's believed they were the only show in town and refused to change until it was too late.  Democrats have also taken their loyal constituents for granted, forgetting whenever they abandon labor for issues such as late-term abortion, gender fluidity and Climate change they lose spectacularly. Both Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama won because they appealed to blue-collar interests, not esoteric issues that a small elite that lives in Manhattan and California are passionate about. The average mechanic or plumber doesn’t care what Alyssa Milano thinks about Global Warming, or illegal immigration or Barbra Streisand's opinion on world peace. 

While the Democratic elites want our vote, they don’t like our independence. Politics is about building coalitions, do Democrats think Ocasio Cortez or Ilham Omar expand the tent or narrow it to a small group of extremists that share the same ideological purity?. If Democrats think they will win elections with Stacey Abrams and Kamala Harris being the face of the party I wish them well, my money and time will never be wasted supporting them. 

While I don’t agree with everything, President Trump does. Trump appeals to the plumber, carpenters and working stiffs that helped build America. He talks about revitalizing America not having our tax dollars building other nations that mock us while we can’t even find the resources to rebuild our own country. 

The Left has devolved in sheer madness, there are some Leftist that actually believe waving the American flag and wearing a. “Making America Great”  is a form of white supremacy. When it means retreating from the global arena and focus on our own affairs. A dollar  spent in the Middle East is a dollar being taken from Domestic Policies. America is lagging behind in education, science, our bridges are falling apart and are cities are idle. It’s time for other nations to be self-reliant and allow us to rebuild our country. 

One thing I learned advocating for the Homeless is you can be Utopian and idealistic all but sooner or later you need to be coherent and organized. You need to build organizations and institution to challenge the status quo. You can’t get a homeless agenda because they don’t have the lobby’s and institutions to mobilize campaigns against people that oppose them.

Democrats are delusional if they think they have in their stable, activist groups that were as powerful as The Teamsters and AFL-CIO  Do Democrats believe the Green New Deal appeals to truck drivers, mechanics, and longshoreman?  Ask George McGovern, Walter Mondale, and Michael Dukakis if run on raising taxes, wealth redistribution and having the government control every aspect of your life appealed to the Deer Hunter in Pennsylvania, the construction worker in Staten Island or the auto worker in Michigan? Lifelong Democrats abandoned Barack Obama and the Democrats for Trump when Obama began alienating the American worker for late-term abortions, gender fluidity, climate change and other esoteric nonsense that doesn't create jobs or grows the economy but are wedge issues designed to divide and polarize the electorate. 

Democrats abandoned the formula that made them successful.  All politics are local and if workers are not happy. The only program that has worked through the test of time is a good paying job. I want to keep what I make if there’s a problem in my community let the people in my community solve it if they can't afford to live there. Move. This is America. I’m not interested in having my hard earned money being distributed to people that refuse to take advantage of the opportunities in America. Not interested in an arrogant elite that thinks they know what’s best for me.  It’s my money, and I want the power to control how I spend it. 

Democrats forgot. Its workers that buttered the bread of the Democratic party and its workers that will get Donald Trump re-elected. Democrats have tried all the other groups and haven't been a viable party since. Without the workers, Democrats can’t or won’t win. Believe That.
