By Jeffery McNeil  I have never been in the camp by calling for Virginia Governor Ralph Northam to resign. Being African American, I was appalled to see a sitting Governor in a photo wearing blackface next to a person dressed up as a Klansmen. However, the Christian in me is not to seek revenge or enact punishment.  I’ve learned ago to forgive racists, not because I believe racism subsided, but  resentments make you just as vicious and ugly as the people you have grown to loathe. I learned it’s not good for my long term sanity to be aggrieved, about things that occurred before I was born. By Jeffery McNeil  When people claim this may be the worst period in history, I beg to differ I believe the period from 1929 to 1945 when we had a Great Depression, Dustbowls, Hitler, Stalin, and a World War that left 56 million dead is not comparable to today.
