America has taken a wrong turn, but can we can right the ship?
Thomas Jefferson once said,” There is no justification for taking away individual freedom in the name of safety..” Throughout history, the oldest trick for tyrants to seize power was to suspend commercial activity in the name of crisis.
Franklin Roosevelt once said, “We have nothing to fear but fear itself." How did we go from perseverance to fear-mongering and hysteria? “Roosevelt lived in a period when wars, pestilence, and disease were part of the human condition. Being afraid was not an option, had he’d listen to defeatist that say let's stay safe while staying at home sipping Hot Cocoa. The world would be living under the Third Reich.
While that generation dealt with fascists, there were polio outbreaks, an infectious disease, more severe than COVID-19, that caused paralysis or death. . Franklin Roosevelt contracted polio, which paralyzed him. Even the radicals in his administration understood suspending activity until it's safe was self-destructive. They tried that in Germany, Italy, and the Soviet Union, which resulted in labor camps, starvation, and execution.
Who decides humans cannot be responsible while protecting others? They shut you down for nine months, and these self-proclaimed experts can’t figure out how to give relief to those affected by their proclamations !!! Does anyone believe a 50 cent mask from CVS would prevent the spread of COVID-19?
I don’t understand how residents allowed politicians to destroy their livelihoods. . While shutting you down, Congress lost zero pay. It’s easy to be “Woke” when you have a job !!! The working Nazi’s did the same thing as they put their starving citizens on a train to Auswitch. The police officer and schoolteachers are in predicaments; do they follow orders or their conscience? The politicians believe they have the upper hand, or they wouldn’t insult you with a $600 check as they receive their full pay.
Nancy Pelosi says we must trust the science!! But how does a 5600-page bill, with money going to the Kennedy Center and Smithsonian, “Crushing the virus? “ Every Conference call she's talking about “Children going hungry “ after refusing $1200 checks and enhanced FPUC, millions of families lost relief to feed their families and keep a roof over their head because she needed leverage.
How did America become docile and incurious? Who told you to abandon all critical thinking skills? Who told you not to question anything?
As someone that lived through 9/11, these fear-mongering pimps used a tragedy to push their police state agenda. It shocks me, the same Left that groaned over the Patriot Act now trusts the government to police us. Today's Left has crossed the Rubicon. Where are the civil libertarians? What happened to the ACLU? The same feminist that' screams “My body, my choice,” doesn't see the contradictions in vaccines and immunization ID cards.
It shocks me those who describe themselves as Socialist entirely on board with Joe Biden when he’s surrounded by Bush Wing Republicans. Ironically, the social justice Marxist rail against evil billionaires then align themselves with Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos. If Democrats implement any of their insane policies, do they believe they will extract one penny from their wealth?
It's comical, even sad, that a 47-year hack has become a savior for Leftists. They learned nothing in 2008, with Barack Obama, Democrats package him as Heaven and Earth. By 2016, they had their fill of Barack Obama. Theirs no sign that his President-elect will be a continuum of the top-down extraction of resources from the people to enrich the oligarchs that finance him.
As the media declares Joe Biden’s presidents-elect, their arrogance will be their downfall. You can’t display something unless most people approve. When you try to force or instill something, people reject it. Then America is in uncharted waters. America is a country formed on the love of liberty, not social transformation. So as both forces try to use extremism rather than sit at the table and try to co-exist, nobody knows what the story ending will be. Anyone telling you they know the outcome, shame on them because they’re leading lambs to the slaughterhouse.
